Our name, JEMS, is actually an acronym for us, Jean, Elaine, Marian and Sue. The JEMS are from Connecticut and New York. We all belong to the same chorus, Harmony on the Sound.

Jean hails from Stratford, CT, and sings bass, Elaine from Danbury, CT, and sings lead, Marian from Mahopac, NY, and sings baritone, and Sue from Sandy Hook, CT, and sings tenor. We have been singing together for nearly a year, and have performed:

• At Springfield Symphony Hall stage as Mike Testers for the Region 1 contest
• Singing Valentines
• At the Danbury New Fairfield Women’s Club annual luncheon which was attended by Connecticut Governor Jodi Rell
• At baby showers
• At The Festival of the Trees in Danbury
